Hi Leah,

I don't have a dr. recommendation for you, but just wanted to tell you that my

dd has had two endo- colonoscopies on the same day and it's been okay. With

kids at Mass General, they use general anesthesia, so they don't want to have to

do that 2x. She is a little sore afterwards.

Good luck with it all.

Thank you so much

I can imagine it would be more scary for a child - Two on same day?

She's brave

I have been reading that patients also don't like doing the " prep "

work 2x, which i didn't think of til now. Makes sense

Take Care

Hi Leah,

I don't think there is any prep to an endoscopy, just not eating beforehand.

But, on the plus side, it's nice not to take two days dealing with this!

Hope it all goes well,

Ellen

Magnesium citrate & no food or drink for at least 12 hrs. That's what our GI doc

wanted us to do. We use doc BUIE. Jenn L
