Guest guest
Hello Again, My son had 2 Diarrhea BM's this morning and his little butt is red and raw. His teacher described it as diarrhea but it could've been mucus. Then a third BM about an hour later which was not liquid but very loose and very smelly. I introduced Butternut squash yesterday. Should I remove the butternut squash. He eats a lot of pearsauce. Could it be the pearsauce? Also, he had some squash buttons I made from butternut squash a week ago that I had frozen which had unfiltered honey in them. Maybe about 15 of them. My son can eat a whole cow if I put it infront of him, just so you know. Yesterday he had. Chicken-baked, scrambled eggs, a lot of pearsauce ( 2 cups), butternut squash buttons with filtered honey and about 15 butternut squash with unfiltered honey, Bison, This morning he had banana pancakes with coconut oil on griddle and scrambled eggs. He has been on scdopholis probiotics; 1 @ night and 1 in morning. Any suggestions or comments or input will be greatly appreciated. Could this still be die off and not the butternut? Thank you! Guest guest
Silvia, This was not his first time eating honey. He has eaten straight and had no diarrhea. I think it might be effecting his mood though. I am not sure but he may react to it the way he reacts to apples. But never diarrhea. Guest guest
According to Elaine, in her book, you must stop eating eggs while there is diarrhea. Looking at what he ate the previous day, I feel he may have eaten too many 'sweet' items - this includes the butternut squash!! He has just barely started the diet - you may need to go slow on sweet tasting foods Suneeti > >Reply-To: pecanbread >To: <pecanbread > >Subject: Full Blown Diahrea >Date: Thu, 22 Feb 2007 11:27:38 -0600 > >Hello Again, > >My son had 2 Diarrhea BM's this morning and his little butt is red and raw. _________________________________________________________________ Refi Now: Rates near 39yr lows! $430,000 Mortgage for $1,399/mo - Calculate new payment http://www.lowermybills.com/lre/index.jsp?sourceid=lmb-9632-17727 & moid=7581
Guest guest
This is my opinion, since the child is so new to the diet.... You are bound to see all kinds of changes related to die-off, and yes... that can include diarrhea. His body is trying to de-tox and rid itself of these dying bacteria and yeast. I would not focus on what foods he might have eaten that triggered this.... but just realise that you WILL see lots of changes in the beginning, in terms of his BMs. Try not to introduce too many new foods at this point. Stay VERY simple and basic. The Electrolyte Drink on Elaine's website: www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info , in the " Knowledge Base " under " E " ..... can help a lot with diarrhea (or constipation). It helps to normalize the pH and electrolytes. Are you doing epsom salts baths to help ease die-off symptoms? If so, make sure he does not DRINK the bathwater. Epsom salts are extremely laxative.
