You know, I wonder how many nurses are in the process right at this moment.

It seems like there are more RN's than you can shake a stick at. I wonder if

Another RN here !! My mother and two of my aunts are RNs too if you're

keeping count. I used to circulate in the OR but have been working in the

Research Department since January facilitating clinical drug trials. I know

a little while back we got to counting nurses and there were quite a few -

can't remember the official total.

I think so!!! Not to mention the long hours, hospital food ( when you can

make it downstairs to get some) junk food and all the coffee and soda we

drink to keep us awake!!

I'm not a nurse... but I was a Respiratory Terrorist... er... Therapist who

specialized in Neonatal and post surgical life support. (Vee haff vays to

make you coff.... und you vill like it! *WEG*)

There are a LOT of medical professionals of numerous disciplines here on the

list. It's my belief that persons of our fields have enough knowledge to

make us compulsive researchers... and connections to speak with to give

realistic evaluations any procedures considered. Just my 2 cents. *S*

I've wondered about that nurture/weight thing a lot myself. I have my own

half-baked theory that we give and give of ourselves trying to fill that

hole that we feel inside... the one that drives many of us to food for

comfort.

Ladies, Ladies,

I think the nuture/ food thing is all wrong!!!!!!!!!! I honestly think the

neuromuscular junctions that supply our pleasure centers are mis-firing,

causing us to consume more food than normal to attempt to fulful our

cravings.....just a thought!

Any other theories????
