Guest guest
Does your gi doc realize that you have 2 such loosely and obviously inflamed(ie the pain) molers in your mouth now. I would think to reduce the risks of any infection or any current infectio becoming systemic he would agree that those two should be removed more sooner then later. Mayber your oral surgeon should give a call to your gi doc to make sure he understands everything entirely. However, I think your gi doc is wise to suggest they all be done as a surigcal procedure. A total odenectomy is no small procedure. Call your gi';s nurse or secretary and have them send the ct films and other films to the mayo clinic. They are HUGE and difficult to carry. I couldn't imagine trying to get those as carry on or even to check them with your luggage not to mention having to tote them around during your vacation. Oh and Costa Rico has alwaysed intrigued me but I love the sea and am an avid bird watcher. I would think that the Mayo doc will want some tests of his own so planning to stay till the next day at the least cant hurt. If your dentist wants to send you to MUSC's dental surgery clinic let me know, I have worked with those guys a lot in the OR and can reccommend some one for you if you like. But I would surly want those molers out soon, just makes good sense to me. Well I'm trying to finalize my plans for cincy and yes I am giving myself extra time unless they want more tests as well. Its going to be hard trying to figure out how I will get to the airport as Billy is working and doesn't want my car to stay there for 3 days. He can be a difficult pain in the butt sometimes. Why is it that the little things can be the most irritating. I've been very sick this week, I was hoping it would clear up alittle before my trip. I've already doubled up on the zofran and am waiting to hear from my pcp about refilling my pain meds and the zofran as well. Shes taking it right down to the last minute before she will write them. Ihope she increases the dose then. Good luck and let me know how it goes. Chrissy
Guest guest
I just wanted to reply to your Mayo Clinic question. I went to the Mayo Clinic in ville about 3 weeks ago. I saw Dr. Wallace in the gastro dept. I stayed in Florida for 1 week and it took that much time to do all the daily tests procedures etc. It was actually a Monday thru Friday thing but I had gone down the weekend before. I am about 14 hours away and they did ask me how much time I had before returning home. I stayed at the Inn at Mayo Clinic which is a hotel that is on the clinic campus and it was the best decision for me. I was in walking distance of all of my appts although I had one procedure that was done at the St. Luke's Hospital a few miles away. If you have any other questions please let me know......I've been there done that!! Zoie
