Guest guest
My child is the best " detective " when it comes to changing up and " adding " stuff to his food. He will notice the smallest change. What vegetable is good to sneak into pancakes/waffles that wouldn't change the texture? I am considering pulling his meat products for a couple of days as someone did here because I too believe it is leading to constipation. Would it be really bad to give waffles with veggies in them, butternut fries and popcicles to him to eat for about 2 days straight? Guest guest
Becky, You are not going to harm him by going a couple of days without meat. Finely grated zucchini works really well in baked goods. iel won't touch zucchini except in the zucchini muffins. Oh, I did get him to eat it in a zucchini omelet recipe that I made about a month ago. Otherwise, he will just pick the zucchini out of everything. Guest guest
I wouldn't give him any cooked oil at all if he's constipated. (fries) Have you tried squash pancakes? Also, I would add the start-up soup back in if possible. Kind regards, KimS (scd 2003-2004) > > My child is the best " detective " when it comes to changing up > and " adding " stuff to his food. Guest guest
I have to puree the veggies to get him to eat them. He has been having 2 decent sized bm's a day since we cut out/down on the meat and he also has not had any eggs. I really do think that it was part of the problem. My son is only 2 so it's much easier to change things without too much whining and he has just kind of accepted that this is the way it is. I know it would be more difficult if he were older.
