Hi, Dana:

Go to www. clos.net for the best explanation of the surgery. If necessary,

print it out and take it to your PCP, so you can " walk through " the

explanation. That's what I had to do, being medical

informationally-challenged. I just describe it to friends as having had my

" innards rearranged " !

I can't imagine that Dr. R. would turn you away just because you're going

through a divorce. The only people I think he would turn away would be

people he suspects aren't really informed about what will happen to their

bodies after this surgery, or people who appear to be unable to comply with

his postop instructions, or people who are mentally, emotionally or

physically unable to withstand the changes wrought by having this surgery.

Good luck to you, with this surgery and with your divorce. You've got some

big changes coming up.

Best wishes,

Blair
