Guest guest
Why do you need a high protein bar? > Because my son won't eat anything except vegetables and he is supposed to eat protein and fat with a carb every 2.5-3 hours, as he is now considered borderline diabetic. I am trying to come up with something easy to make large batches of that I can keep on hand for when he refuses the protein portion of the meal (always). Life would be much easier if I had a back-up protein, since he will always eat the vegetable. I am going to try to make jerky as well. > I can't seem to find the protein content of an egg -- does anybody know that? > - An extra large egg contains 7 grams of protein. (source www.fitday.com) Make your child meringues from egg whites and honey . Carol F. SCD 7 years, celiac
