Day 15... 21.3 pounds gone

Dear List,

It's day 15. I've been dancing for 15 straight days!

And I am as excited if not more so than I was on day

1!

Well, I must tell you, it's super hard to be compliant

when you feel this good. Eating soft foods only has

been challenging (sort of). I did eat six well chewed

cashews. It's like peanut butter (right)... and

that's a soft food.

I have not had any emesis, dumping, pain or

complications. I swear if it weren't for these little

incisions I wouldn't know that I had surgery.

I will officially weigh in again at the Dr's office

Nov 15th, but my scale says that I've lost 21.3 pounds

and I'm HAPPY with only being 15 days post-op.

Today I went grocery shopping. The taste test ladies

were in full force (and it's a regular weekday). I

took a sample of marianted chicken on the toothpick

and it tasted wonderful and went down well. I must

have taken 7 bites off of that little sample. Before

this surgery I swear I would have stood there and ate

about three of those samples while trying not to get

caught!

I purchased soy milk instead of regular milk because

the protein content and we still have watermelon in

the produce section so I bought a quarter section.

I have started a photo documentary of the whole

process and you are all welcome to check it out. I

have photo's of Barb and Diane. I only have three

pages of photos up, but I'll be adding more.

Rikaya should be discharged today and she was off bed

rest yesterday. Thanks for all of your prayers. God

is good, she is recovering well and she returns home

to Miami at 7 PM tonight last I checked.

This list has been exceptionally wonderful. Your

support has been fantastic. I only hope that I can

return some of what you have given to me.

Sincerely,

: I love your site! This is too cool. It was great to see the pictures

too! I wish I had taken pictures as I have been " on my way down " . You may

want to make sure you get monthly pictures like I should have!

You're gorgeous now! You will be a princess when you have lost your weight.

Best wishes.
