I am glad that you have a date, what I want to know is when you sent

in you patient letter, did you have to have a gym membership or just

promise to join one after surgery? I am a little confused on this

Dear Kecia and Trudy,

Dr. R is concerned with your after surgery success therefore he

requires that you committ to an exercise program. I had a real problem

joining a coed gym while I was so overweight. In my patient letter I

explained to him that I understood the importance of exercise and that my

plans were to start out walking and doing water aerobics in a private pool.

I also explained that I had a Bowflex and Healthrider at home that I would

graduate up to. I told him of my reluctance to join a coed facility at my

current weight but of course if that kept me from being approved then I

would join immediately. He approved me without the gym membership. Of

course that was back in May so things may have changed since then.
