Guest guest
Tumpa, I would not touch this product. All those roots and herbs will probably kill ya. I am pretty sure Dandelion is a no-no. No doubt many of them are mucilagenous. Milk Thistle is also controversial and I do not do well with it at all. Charlene Does anyone know if this product is SCD legal? Thanks, Tumpa Reinhardt To the world you may be one person, to one person you are the world~Anonymous
Guest guest
Tumpa, I've looked into this product myself. I honestly am just not sure. These are the ingredients: <<Himmematsutake, Red Root, Milk Thistle, Olive Leaf, Coriolus Versicolor, Gandoderma Lucidum, Grifola, Purified Water and Alcohol (grain neutral spirits); 20% by volume.>> Since I have NO IDEA what the heck Himmematsutake is (I am guessing it's some kind of medicinal mushroom??)..... and I don't know what Red Root is, or Coriolus Versicolor, or the next two ingredients.... and it's pretty safe to say that Elaine Gottschall never researched any of these, I just honestly don't know how we could really determine their legality, one way or the other. I know olive leaf is legal..... but that's pretty much the ONLY ingredient I know is okay. In terms of milk thistle, here's Elaine's take: << Elaine writes Is it legal or not? I think the SCDT will accomplish everything milk thistle does and will avoid the side effects including diarrhea, etc. But I have no expertise in herbs and some people swear that some herbs have accomplished amazing results. Considering that the report found on Medline came from controlled research under the auspices of NIH and STILL no conclusive answers, how can I give it my stamp of approval? I realize that most people want " black and white " answers from me. In this case, I cannot say it is illegal because it just might hasten up the process of detoxification of the liver. If you have been using it and there has been no diarrhea and you can see results, then use it. >> Knowing Elaine, I'm betting that probably would have been her response to some of these other obscure herbs, too. I honestly just think there is no clear cut answer. Liver Life is a tincture....there are no whole or powdered herbs in it.... and I know you only use a very small amount, just a few drops. It might have to be something that you make a personal judgement call on... and use at your own risk. At least there are no added starches or sweeteners. Another thing you have to do with Liver Life is monitoring pH, which I don't think is a bad idea. Sorry I couldn't help more. Patti Liver life Does anyone know if this product is SCD legal?
