Guest guest
DHA is involved in the nervous system of the brain rather than actual growth of the physical brain so it wouldn't really influence growth of the skull and therefore wouldn't help with plagio. I know that it helps with mylanation and higher levels are recommended for kids with ADHD because of this. I guess you could say it is related more to effeciency of brain functioning. We could all use some DHA, but I don't think it will help your baby's head grow any faster. (i.e., Does DHA actually cause "growth" or just "supercharge" what's already there? And is it's connection related to cognition or physical size of the brain?) I also know that a key factor in changing the shape of our plagio babies' heads is brain growth. So I got to thinking about the possible connection between DHA and brain growth. My son will be one soon and so it will be time to switch him from formula to whole milk. I was wondering if there is any benefit to switching him to a toddler formula with DHA instead of the whole milk. Can anyone offer insight on the DHA questions above? Thanks!
