Guest guest
All peanut butter is made from roasted peanuts. So, in that case, yes.... it's fine if the label just says " peanuts and salt " as the ingredients. We are supposed to stay away from dry roasted whole nuts, because they often have a coating of starch to hold on the seasonings (salts, etc.). I use an almond butter that is made from roasted almonds.... but they're just plain. They're free of any of the type of starch coating that might be present in a snack nut. I grind it right at the store, so I can see the nuts they start out with, and was able to ask the store manager to give me details on the nuts from the packaging. You might need to get more information from the company that makes the particular nut butter you want to use. Many have websites (Arrowhead Mills, etc.) that give detailed label info and contact info for asking further questions. Patti Question about roasted nut butters Are the roasted nut butters okay or do they need to be raw. Thanks Pam
