Guest guest
I always get a flu shot every year and have never gotten the flu since being on it. Also got the pneumonia shot and that is good for at least 10 years. It really depends on what your doctor recommends I guess. Mine has always insisted that I get it (flu shot), especially when I was on pred or any immune suppressing drug. You are more susceptible to " catching " things when you immune system is lowered because of these drugs, so I would ask my Rheumy or whatever doctor you are seeing, and if you TRUST him or her, do what they say. This is what I was told. Hope it helps. I think this question comes up every year and I hope everyone will ask about it and send their input. We need to know what is best for us with RP, the drugs we are taking and flu shots and pneumonia shots. Especially with all the new members we have. They need this input!!! For me, the shots have worked great so far. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I never got the flu either, but I went with my drs orders and got the flu shot and the pneumonia shot. Ask your dr and see what they say. hugs
