We stayed at the Hawthorne Suites in Research Triangle, but it is a 20 min drive to the clinic and hospital. I would suggest calling 1-877-med-stay, but i think they are only open during Mon-Fri hours. They have negotiated nice discounts with many of the local hotels and motels up to half off. Homestead suites was right at the exit we were and looked nice. Durham Tower is very close to the hospital and has suites. Many people have stayed at extended stay America (but I am not sure if they have 2 room suites). Under the archives on email of the day on the website for Sept., I copied a long post about hotels from someone who did a lot of research in July and Dr. R. kept it for the website. Check it out. I think it says Durham Hotels or something like that. Also, I searched from links on the right hand side of the web page for hotels in Durham and found out a lot that way. laurie
