Carol,

Thank you for the info. on Stevia.

My son is now 4. He has severe Peanut/Nut allergies and food intolerance to

Dairy/Soy/Wheat/Egg also. He has been diagnosed with Acid Reflux, asthma, and

environmental allergies.

He was on multiple antibiotics for many infections since age 1. He's had two

endoscopies and checked for Celiac and many other conditions.

We keep coming up with reflux and food intolerances. He presents with

diarrehea, or constipation often, and much stomach pain and reflux coming up

with burping burning his throat.

I bought the book Breaking the Viscious Cycle, and have read it. I'm trying

the diet for him starting today.

He missed his Rice Milk, and I'm afraid to give him almond milk with his nut

allergies.

Not sure if I can stick with this, but I think it is our best bet right now.

His Ped.GI has washed his hands of it and keeps saying someday he'll outgrow all

the allergies and diarrehea.

I am using one of the reccomended probiotics from Kirkman Labs.

Does anyone know how much to give a 4yr old 36lb. child?

Thank you

Debbie

Welcome Debbie,

Please tell us more about yourself.

Here are links to various comments on stevia from Elaine Gorttschall's web site.

Bottom

line a little is allowed in a helpful supplement but it is not suitable for

general use:

When healing kicks in often some of the food intolerances diminish or disappear

as was

my fortunate experience. (They may flare again during an illness or temporary

regression.)

Do the best you can by using the intro diet for a few days only and slowly

introducing the

SCD foods that are tolerated.

Hi Debbie,

<< He missed his Rice Milk, and I'm afraid to give him almond milk

How about about homemamde coconut milk recipe at

http://pecanbread.com/recipes.html under " Nut milks "

-or-

Banana smoothies. Ripe banana pureed with a small amount of water

until smooth. Then add enough water so it is drinkable. You can add

legal vanilla extract if you like.

<< I am using one of the reccomended probiotics from Kirkman Labs.

Probiotics: With the L. acidophilus and the S. boulardii you should

start with 3 billion CFU's/day (with Kirkman's this is one capsule)

or *less*. This can be split into half doses over the day in the

morning and at night.
