Guest guest
Dear Christy, I stayed at the Hawthorn suites for 8 nights at the end or august. My husband and I had a two bedroom suite and it was nice to have as much room as we had. There is a TV in each bedroom and one in the living room as well. They have a tiny but usable kitchen, and the dining area is adjacent in the living area. The beds were comfortable, but they only have queens, that's why we got two bedrooms, as much as we love each other we are used to our king bed and I didn't want to be crowded when I came home from the hospital. It worked out well because I slept a lot more than he did and I couldn't even hear his TV in his room. The place is not what you would expect for $165. it is a little faded, the carpets in my suite were wavy a little, but it is quiet and near everything you will need. It takes about 15 min to get to the hospital from there. You will be comfortable but forget about thinking it is a real fancy place. The price is good though because it was way better than staying in one motel room, with no place for the nonsleeping one to go. I will be thinking of you and your littermates on your surgery date. It will be great to have another Californian as a post-op. For all of you who are near surgery, you should sign up for the post op list at least a week or so before surgery because it takes a little while to get on it and you might need it when you get home for answering questions you may have.
