We have a product that we are quite impressed with for clearing out a

stuffy nose that is intended to be put inside the nostrils (I believe

that Vicks is not really supposed to go inside your nose, isn't it a

petroleum product?) Anyway it is called Nose Ointment and contains:

Coconut Oil, Spearmint Oil, Peppermint Oil, Castor Oil, and Beeswax.

We just put a tiny bit inside the nostrils and within a few minutes

are able to blow out the gunk. Just another idea. It's available at

herbsfirst.com

That's fine..... I mean, it's not a violation of SCD if you put it slightly

inside the nostril, but just below is fine. I put a tiny amount (with a Q-tip)

about 1/8 of an inch inside Katera's nose...... otherwise, she rubs her hands

all over her upper lip and then rubs it into her eyes. NOT good!

Vicks Vap-o-Rub Was: Die Off Reaction

Hi, Patti,

I remember reading a post from Sheila that said not to put Vicks in

contact with the mucous membrane inside the nose. So we switched to

putting it just under the nose.
