Guest guest
gLO, I can feel the heat all the way to my house!! Loved your post, really close to my size (often) and now I am going into surgery at 335, with a bmi of 61, so seeing your post thrilled me to death! Thanx, Trudy Fwd: Drum roll for Glo please !!!! 1 month stats: Weight at clinic May 30th - 383 Weight 1 month before surgery - 387 Weight before surgery 9/25/00 - 352 Weight on 10/27/00 - 335 Total weight loss - 52 lbs Total loss after surgery - 17 lbs Starting BMI - 62 Current BMI - 54 Inches loss - 35 1/2 (keep in mind I am a seamstress so I measure alot of places....HeHe) Meds before surgery: 3 BP meds, 3 diabetes oral meds, 1 antidepressant, 1 allergy, and alot of ibuprofen for joint pain (BP and diabetes barely controlled by meds). Also had alot of headaches and bladder problems. Meds after surgery: vitamins, suppliments, actigal........(BP and blood sugars are perfect, no depression, no allergy symptoms, and my joints are moving without pain!) No headaches since surgery and no bladder problems. Surgery was a breeze (insurance battle was worse) Recovery - (Dr. R. did you really do anything?) Eating - only when I have too!!! I just added soft stuff and will be eating Turkey at Thanksgiving! Have only encountered 3 things that I cannot tolerate - sweet oatmeal, Yoplait yogurt, creamy soups. Would kill for a salad right now!!! Pain or problems - none (unless you count starting my periods again after 1 1/2 years without one) Would I do this again? - You Bet !!!!! Wish I had found out about it sooner! My opinions about Dr. R - mear words cannot describe my joy, my admiration, and my heart felt graditude to the person (with God's help of course) who has given me my life back and made it better!!!!! The best is yet to come!!! Big Red is a thing of the past! Glo has emerged! Watch out world Glo has entered the building!!!
