Guest guest
My daughter has had her Hanger band for a week now. On the 7th day, I took it off to clean it and noticed that her forehead was very red and it was red around the edges of her cheeks. I know in the paperwork it said to take it off if you see any red marks. I did that thinking that they would go away. The ones on her cheeks have but her forehead is still red and the helmet has been off now for over 12 hours. I am not real sure what to do. SHould i be concerned or should I just put the helmet back on?
Guest guest
You should keep it off. Most likely here is too much pressure on her head. My daughter had brachy - flat in back with extra width. Her band always got tight in the forehead area as she grew and would get red like a very mild sunburn. But lucky for us we could go the next day for an adjustment. I think you will be waiting for tuesday, and don't want to create any problems for her, so it is better to be on the safe side and leave the band off. Leave a message for your ortho, and try to get in early on Tues. -christine sydney, 4.5 yrs, starband grad > > My daughter has had her Hanger band for a week now.
