Memory dear, That makes you a loving and proud mom. And you have every

reason! Wait til that kid sees you at the games next year!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder what homelife a kid has that spends his time putting down someone's

mom, though. I don't think that people who put others down feel very good

about themselves. That's what I always told my kids when they denigrated

someone. I asked them what THEY were feeling bad about. Frotunately, that

took up very little of their lives, and they are great people now. But that

kid makes me wonder what home is like for him. Anyhow, great going Memory!!

I cross over in a little over 2 days, and I can't wait to begin posting my

wonderful progress! PhillyJude

Hi all! Just let me say at 1 month post op (on the 27th) I was down 45lbs!

Yahoo!!!! Now to the real reason I'm posting. My 9 yr. old, , was at

football practice last night (undefeated division champions for 2000. Proud

MOM!) one of his team-mates was talking about how fat I am and that he would

end up just like me. is 5' and weighs 117#. He is a big boy, but, by

no means do I think he will end up like me, he's very active. (rambling)

back to the point. Any way, This boy just kept on talking trash about me to

. My son told him he should be quiet and stop talking about me. Of

course I heard everything that was said and yes it embarrassed me. Not

because I haven't heard it a million times before, but, that it made

feel bad. Well, the boy kept on and pretty soon waylaid him. I mean

laid him out flat on his back. The coaches got all over him and wanted to

know what happened and when the boys explained it, the kid that was running

his mouth ended up doing the laps. I asked what happened and he

would not tell me. All he would say is " He said some things about you that

he should not have said and I took care of it. "

Of course he got the violence is not the answer speech from me, but deep

down I was proud of him! Does that make me a horrible person?

HI

My name is Meryl and I live in Florida

I am considering very closely having the gastro bypass via lapro

down here. There is a doctor very highly recommended here who has

been doing it for a long time. Both he and his wife have had the surgery

years ago.

Can anyone tell me some good things and of course, the complications. I have

been dieting for the past 35 years, been on everything including Optifast (

2x) and Fen Fen and of course, WW, , Nutri, Metabolife, etc etc . I can

not longer diet, I dont have the will or the

mindset for it and I think that this is the only way left for me

Would love to get some feedback ( pros and Cons )

Thanks Meryl
