Guest guest
Amy, You can try the diet for a month or so without eggs. There are lots of eggless recipes on pecanbread.com. That would give you a chance to see if eggs are her problem. Lots of moms say that they use mashed, ripe avocado in place of eggs in recipes. Have you tried her without the macadamia nut butter? Is there a chance that could be causing some problems? Dana and Garrett SCD 9 1/2 months Celiac, ASD, Speech and Motor Apraxia --------------------------------- Bored stiff? Loosen up... Guest guest
We started SCD without eggs, and did it that way for almost six months while iel worked through his supposed egg allergy. He now can tolerate eggs just fine. Personally, we just used recipes that didn't require eggs during that time although it did get a bit boring. Meleah Re: Frustrated & Poopy! Guest guest
Eggs are a staple in Chloe's diet. She eats at least 2-3 every day for breakfast. If not eggs, then egg & banana pancakes. If she doesn't like meat and cannot do dairy (cheese), what would she eat? Protein? Calcium? Someone asked about macademia nut butter, we just started this to give her smoothies something other than yogurt. I was using almond butter but found out that was too hard to digest for the beginning of the diet. Meatloaf, chicken cupcakes, pancakes, etc. all call for eggs. I am going nuts! > > We started SCD without eggs, and did it that way for almost six months while iel worked through his supposed egg allergy. He now can tolerate eggs just fine.
