We have had Chloe on SCD for just over 2 months. She continues to

have 5-6 loose stools per day. She is eating a strict diet that

consists of lots of eggs, avocado, goat yogurt, probiotics, macademia

nut butter (small amounts in a smoothie), ripe bananas, steamed

apples and pears. She also eats chicken cupcakes (chicken, egg,

squash, baking soda). Other than that, she is on stage 1 diet

foods. We have done the intro diet twice. A couple weeks ago I

realized that I was ahead of the game so backed off, did intro and

have been very strict with the exception of her birthday cake which

did contain almond flour but what's a mom to do, chicken cupcakes for

her birthday?

At any rate, she is allergic to casein but if I don't give her goat

yogurt, how will she get calcium? She used to puke with even a tiny

bit of milk but tolerates the goat yogurt beautifully from a

vomitting perspective. Could this be causing her loose stools? She

gets about 1.5 cups of goat yogurt a day in a smoothie with bananas

and a small amount of macademia nut butter.

What if she is allergic to eggs? I talked to another mom who said

her daughter gets very bad diarrhea to eggs. Everything on this diet

seems to contain eggs, what would I do in that situation?

When do you decide you cannot do this? Diarrhea before with " bad "

diet, diarrhea now with SCD. The only big change is the how long it

takes to make the foods, etc.

Please help.

Amy
