Hello, your email reminded me that I was on your list. I am working with CFRI

and Breathing Room to help put together an art show for the next annual CFRI

conference. Would you be willing to send out this announcement to encourage

people to participate in entering? They do not have to attend the conference

to have their art included. It should be wonderful and inspiring for all.

Thanks, Robin Modlin

A Call for Art

To The CF Community

Do you have an experience of living with CF that you wish to express

through art? Do you draw/paint/sculpt/sew/etch or photograph? Or, have you

never even thought of yourself as an artist but just need to express yourself?

We are looking for you!

Cystic Fibrosis Research Inc. and Breathing Room have joined in

collaboration to hold a very special art exhibit at the 2004 CFRI educational

conference. The title of the exhibit will be “One Day at a Time: Living with

•Photography •Etching •Ceramic •Mosaic •Polymer Clay •Glass

Entries will be selected to give as broad a range of experiences as

possible about living with CF from the perspective of one who has it as well as

those that live with, care for and know people with CF. Space is limited so

depending on how many entries not all entries may be able to be exhibited All

artwork selected will be exhibited August 6-7, 2004 with a special reception the

evening of August 6 at the Sofitel Hotel in Redwood Shores, California. (Art

works selected can be sent and returned by mail for the exhibition.)

Torsten,

You can delete the picture of Elyse and me. It is horribly out of date and

I will upload a new one at a later date.

Thanks,

Colleen

Photos on CFparents

Hi,

once again our list has maxed out the storage place for photos. It's

a shame that Yahoo provides all lists with the same amount of storage

place, regardless whether there are 2 members or 750 and regardless

whether the members use that feature or not. But there's nothing I

can do about it :-((

I don't want to delete photos but then everybody should get the

chance to upload a pic. Since the storage place is limited I would

like to ask those of you, who have uploaded a larger number of photos

to reduce the albums to three pictures. If at all possible a picture

should be downsized to not more than 100k. And it would be perfect if

the title of the pic contained the name of the child and the name of

the representing list member. I hope that's not asked too much.

Peace

Torsten

The pictures of (with spiderman) you may also delete. I am sure they

probably hold a lot of space. I will try to get one on when the probelm is

resovled. You have some work ahead of you!! :) Thanks Torsten.

Hi Torsten,

I'm replying to the whole list, as there may be some other members in

the same situation as I am.

I could finally enter the Photos section of the Group, as I wanted to

update Agustin's photo, or see if his and my names were properly

written, as you suggested. I believe that I originally uploaded it

myself -- but I no longer have access to edit or remove it. Maybe

you've re-organized the photos in the past, so now you're the " owner "

of some of the images? By " Owner " I mean -- of course --, that only

with your Yahoo-ID, the photo can be edited or removed.

Please feel free to delete Agustin's photo, if more room is needed.

I don't intend to bother you with this issue, it's just that my yahoo-

id does not have enough privileges to remove it!

Thanks, and love to everyone on the list. I don't post, but read

from you all, from the web, whenever I get the chance.

Mom of Agustin, 3 1/2 yo wcf

in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

PS: This past afternoon, I looked for my first message to CFParents,

in August 2000. I could not help a few tears when I re-read it -- I

was overwhelmed by the time I sent it and, at the same time, so happy

to have met you all! Now, three and 1/2 years later, things seem

easier, as far as Agus' condition is concerned. Thanks for all the

support and good advice!

Hi ,

is it possible that you have posted the pic under a different Yahoo

ID (maybe from your office)? The main reason why I don't downsize

some photos myself is, that I would " own " those pics afterwards and

that would cause the problem that you have described.

I have deleted Agustin's photo, please feel free to upload a new one.

Peace

Torsten

Hi Torsten,

As a matter of fact, I did try to update the photo, under my two

yahoo-id's, before thinking of bothering you. As a software

programmer, I MUST try every possible way to solve such a problem,

before I ask someone else for help :-) Thanks for your suggestion

anyway. Yahoo may have messed up some of the photo owners at some

point, I guess. It's kind of weird, and makes no sense to me. Well,

stuff happens!

I will refresh Agustin's photo in CFParents after our Summer

vacations, which will start this coming Saturday.

Stay well!
