Hey everyone!

Not sure what happened or why he did it but Dr. R has changed the egroup list

so that no one can get to the archives. I do know, from reading her list,

that LT has been sending in her pack of wolves to find posts about his past

patients and then cutting and pasting only the parts that she feels will

forward her agenda. Just yesterday she took a letter from Pam G. and cut it

to suit her.

I for one am very concerned about her getting my personal info. Info that I

posted BEFORE her breakdown. Many people have posted their work numbers,

home phone numbers and addresses here to the list. It is frightening to

think what a person like her can do with that kind of info.

But even with that said........I want my list back wwaaaaa waaaaaaa waaaaaaa!

So I have gone in and changed from Web Only to daily digest. That has done

the trick.

I miss you guys when you are not here!

i understand the discomfort we might all feel at linda

and her minions reading things that we have entered

and using them in twisted ways, but in the grand

scheme of things, so what! to take the whole list down

and make it inaccessible to everyone is the wrong

thing to do, imo. the archives are a wealth of

information that should be available to all of us who

created it. i have searched it numerous times, for

everything from (as a pre-op) getting information

about pam greer and kristen's death, to, as a post-op,

looking for info on slow losers or hair loss. it is an

invaluable tool, particularly for pre-ops researching

the surgery.

all of the archives from the mgb-tech list were

already deleted. on the remaining lists, i think it is

important that we continue to be as open as possible

about what we are going through, good and bad. to

cripple this list this makes it look like information

is being hidden, and feeds the paranoia. we should not

let fear of a few people make us hide.

in addition, as i said earlier, i find having to get

the e-mails or digest form, rather than reading on the

web, a cumbersome process (i can never remember what

an e-mail is repsonding to, and i end up reading lots

of them i have no interest in, AND it takes up too

much memory on my computer (i use a yahoo e-mail and

space is limited.) to be honest, if the list stays

this way, i would probably not participate.

just my two cents,

Hey Robin,

We may be littermates in December as I'm shootin for around that date also.

Still haven't heard back from my insurance yet, should be soon though. I have

about eleven days off around Christmas and it'd sure be good timing for me! I'll

be praying for you and looking forward to meeting you perhaps?

WELCOME!! Kathy,

We are all here for the same reason we are obese and we either have had or are

anticipating WLS. I have been researching for a number of months. You need to

check and see if you meet the criterior first and this may keep you from having

some undue stress. Check on thre home page and get the registration form and

start from there. I have insurance approval and now have a date for November

29,2000. I could have had it sooner but my daughter just had a C-Section last

week and she still lives with us and needed help. My advise is to study the

home page and then get the form for registration on line and fill it out and

get it in asap. This will get your insurance started. Then you can start

working on your packet and accumulating information you may want or need.

Beware of giving out too much informqtion about your personal address.

employer ect. on the e-group. There is a disgruntaled post-op who horrases

newcomers. If I can help you can e.mail me at mpowell6@....
