Guest guest
I am so glad to read that you are recovering so well from your whipple. Its a big surgery; I had a Beger procedure last spring and they are similiar and I know it took me a long while to physically recover. Are you sure you are ready to go back to work so soon. It seems really soon to me. 8 weeks? Well I understand how things are, and with the holidays coming; its easy to understand your wanting to return. Me too, we are really strapped. When my income ceased to exists, things got very difficult around here. Silver lining though, we all needed to loose a few pounds...lol. A few tips that I found when I was working, small frequent meals or snacks. I drank a lot of slimfast, I liked the orange pineapple and some of the snack bars are really good. Everyday for lunch, and I;m saying everyday for well over a year, I had chicken noodle soup and fat free saltines. I like the fat free Progesso and the selects best. I had to maintain enough calories and protien to keep me strong and alert. I had a terrible time with falling alseep, especially for the ride home it got real scarry. Anyway I haven't worked much at all for the last year; less then 100 hours. I am a RN and really want to go back to work. I love my job. Next month I have the tp/ict, I hope it gets me back on my feet again. Good luck, even though I think it is too soon and let me know how it goes.
