Guest guest
I found the following in an article and was wondering the same thing.. why don't we get B12 shots instead just what is in out multivitiamin. Anyone asked Dr. R about this before? " Most RNY patients are not getting vitamin B12 shots and this may be a mistake on a long term basis since a patient without a duodenum and/or a stomach which can produce 'intrinsic factor' cannot digest vitamin B12 from oral doses of it and thus requires the shots - probably should be daily and/or at least once a week.
