Guest guest
Hi everyone.. Eilish has had her 2nd night of terrible coughing. I got up at 2am with her and gave her a hypertonic mask, Then a hot chocolate. We watched her favourite DVD (Kath & Kim) and now she has fallen asleep, and hopefully will get a goodnights sleep. I am wide awake though. At one stage I thought she would vomit mucus but she didn't. I wouldn't be surprised that another IV round is not far away. When we went in to get her hypertonic saline the other day, the pharmacist asked if that was all we needed. So I said oh yeah chuck in some razor blades for me. She didn't see the funny side. Sometimes you have to otherwise you'll go nuts. Oh to late already there. I'll probably go and watch my favourite DVD till the sun comes up. If I went to bed and only got 2 1/2 hours sleep I'd actually feel much worse. She had a really sore stomach yesterday which I think was from all the coughing. Can this happen? She wasn't constipated or anything. I took them to the park and she seemed fine there. Liam took his go-kart and they and two friends who came with us dragged it up hills and went down like maniacs. Liam had all these kids hanging around. In the end I had to be mean and say sorry guys 1 ride each them off you go. Only because if it got broken who's paying for it? And as my BF who was this me said if some kids breaks an arm or leg they might want me to pay the costs. I clarified with her that that doesn't include her kids LOL. Sorry about ranting, just bored. Guest guest
, I'm sorry to hear about Eilish. There is nothing more frustrating than watching your little girl having to suffer and especially when she has been through so much as of late! However, we as Mom's do what we have to do to make them comfortable even when it costs us a nights sleep. Sorry to hear you are up and bored. Being a night owl myself, if I were there, you could ring me up and I'd bring over some munchies and watch movies with ya. Hang in there! I sure do hope she feels better soon!!! e, mom to 10 wcf and Ian 13, nocf
Guest guest
e, I always feel fine the next day without sleep. My sister who has a 8 week old baby carries on about lack of sleep like no one has ever done it. I am starting to get hungry myself now so I might make some toast. Its good to know people are awake somewhere in the world. (Australia) Liam 9.6wocf & Eilish 6.6wcf Re: bad night coughing , I'm sorry to hear about Eilish. Guest guest
Oh .......I know that feeling...my sister complains too with her 8 month old teething. They don't know the sound of " the COUGH " .........Dylan snores so LOUD cause one side of his nose is TOTALLY impacted and has polp.....his chest retracts so much that I get nervous.......when he gets worked up........ I would take a crying baby, barking dog or snoring husband any day - although I am sure if given one of those I would complain!!!!!LOL Rosemary in NY with 3 children (13, 11 and 7) with CF.
