Guest guest
I have a question. I haven't had a period in 3 months and i'm wondering if my pancreatitis can be causing this. I'm not pregnant, cause I had a test done by the doctor and i'm on the pill. I've been eating okay. Not the greatest, but I have been managing to have some meals. What could be causing this? When I last went to the doc 2 weeks ago my lipase was 691 and BUN was 2.1. They did a fasting blood sugar test and I was normal. I still havent' had my EUS done and i'm waiting for gall bladder surgery to be done sometime next year. My new meds which i've been on for the last 3 months are MS contin 30mg every 12 hours, amytripiline 10mg once daily and maxeran 10mg TID. Any body have any idea what could be doing this. I haven't lost more than 5 lbs maybe in the last 3 months. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks, Jen.
Guest guest
Jen- Hello. I really don't have an answer for you. I noticed that after I started having a lot of problems, it really messed up my cycles, sometimes I went without a cycle for 2-3 months, then I would have 2 within 3 weeks. I am sure it has something to do with the amount of pain, pain meds and just the general ill feeling (none of my systems want to work right!)I wish I could help you more, but maybe just knowing that others have similar situations will be of some comfort. Guest guest
Hi Jen, It could be possible that is induced by your pill. Others meds also may cause amenorrea (missed periods) like Motilium for example. In past I have it but I was not on pills. In fact I had hormonal imbalance. This year I was on Nuvaring to treat some ovarian problems but I had the oposite, irregular bleeding and I had to stop them. I think it's good to see your gyn and check if everything is right, and talk about the meds you're on. All the best, Liane -------Original Message------- I have a question.
