Guest guest
Hi , My twins, Mick and Alli, transitioned from crib to bed last year when they were 3 years old. They are both tube fed and are on a pump overnight. It actually wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, and we had no more accidents with the button coming out than we had when they were in a crib. What we did was have a bed in the room and made sure they were ready to sleep an entire night in it, by letting them take naps in it during the day. Alli was ready for the bed long before Mick was, since Mick can be rather mischevious. It's all working out well now though. Miraculously, I don't have to get up very often to fix a kinked tube - maybe once a week or so, even though my kids are restless sleepers and wind the tubing around all parts of their bodies in the most elaborate ways! Good luck! C Mommy to Mick and Alli, 4 yo twins wcf --- cgetlost wrote: > We have 3-year old triplets, one of which has CF > among a laundry > list of other issues. Guest guest
Hi I am sure others have sent lots of ideas. When Rebekah went from her crib to a bed we used a toddler bed(we even moved it to the hospital when she was admitted 3 years ago)it used a crib size mattress.I even took her pump and hooked it to her bed she loved it as it was just her size. She was still using it before we left New York.It helps when the tube comes loose as they are washable and waterproof.I hope this helps a little.Love BeckyB.-Mama to 8-2w/cf-and Nana to
Guest guest
Hi , We moved to a bed very soon after getting his g-tube, he had no problems. He still is in a diaper at night because he cant move the pole or unhook himself yet, although he is pretty good about staying pretty dry and waking me when he has to go to the potty. We moved him because in the crib he would get all tangled in the tubing, for some reason he doesnt get tangled in the bed as easily. Take care , mommy of 4, wcf
