Thanks Trudy and everyone,

Trudy, I will certainly keep that in mind. This board is so

informative. I have been reading, and reading, and reading.

I am hoping to send in my package this week. Dr. R wanted a cardiac

clearance because I had a very mild MI in March. That was done on

Friday, and the cardiologist called me yesterday to say the tests

looked great. He is sending me copies of everything and a letter of

support this morning. He was very interested in the surgery, as he

has some patients who could use this. He has been reluctant to have

them have WLS because the only thing done around here is open RNY,

which he does not care to have them go through. His daughter is

going

to Duke, so he plans to perhaps meet Dr. R sometime when he goes to

visit her. He is very anxious to see how I do with the surgery.

I so look forward to being a part of this board and to having the

surgery. Since making the decision, I am now wanting to have it done

yesterday. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

My love and great thoughts go out to each and every one of you,

Judy

Dear Judy, Could I make a little suggestion? There are like 3 or 4 of us

Jude's out here, (judy's or judith's or whatever) and it would be nice to

know which one it is. So, I hooked my city to my name. Maybe you would like

to do the same, or your state, or something, so that we are kept separate and

know easily who is which. I think it is so helpful. It's hard to remember

all these folks, wonderul though they are!

Anyway, about your plans and surgery and such, and your eagerness, boy do I

get that. I am expecting to send my packet in on Wed!!! So excited. Your

doctor is going to be so happy with your health post-op. Dr. R will just

have to cancel his life, sleep, eating and office work, and will just have to

operate 24/7 to take care of all the referrals all of our PCP's are going to

be sending his way. :-)

Your attitude sounds great, and I am sure you'll do well. Let us know when

you have a date. . .You'll be in our hearts. PhillyJude
