Guest guest
Hi : Thanks for the suggestions....my doctor IS on the list you just provided, Dr. Akerman (he's the one that Dr. Lehman recommended for me) My first appt went VERY well with him and he even said during that appt that he would be more than happy to fill out the paperwork for the disability retirement if I was to go to 8 wks post procedure and not be getting any better. Well, yesterday makes 8 weeks..and I'm not better. But for some ungodly reason Dr. A is NOT even returning my phone calls at this point. I'm gingerly trying to walk around that totally unsat. behavior because of the above mentioned dis. retirement papers and needing him to sign off on them...but this is just ridiculous!! We're now on day 4 of this....I just don't know what to do!!!Unfortunately some of the other docs you listed are in the same practice as Dr. A.!!! I have JUST GOT TO get this nausea under control...it's taking over my whole life!! I even said that in my voicemails to Dr. A that it is doing that and that nothing is helping and that I'm virtually non- functional because of it. I also mentioned the fact that I've been unable to get to two appts w/him because of it and am having trouble on some mornings getting my 8 yr old out to the school bus!! And to let you know how pathetic that is...the bus stops right in front of our house!! The solution to that is that we are putting his clothes out the night before and getting him to do as much as he can with respect to what he needs to bring, etc., the night before when my husband is home!! My husband has to be to work long before Matt's bus comes so there's no way he can stay and supervise that whole operation!! I sure hope that this isn't going to be the same thing when I leave him with the dis. retirement papers to fill out!! I need to get those in pronto because I haven't brought home a real paycheck since June!!Do you think Dr. Lehman (being so far away would help out with those??) or is that unreasonable to expect him to do it and bigger question would the fact that he initiated them not be acceptable?? I just don't know....anyway, thanks for trying to help me in this almost desperate situation!! love > > Before I read the last part of your letter, not wanting to P him > off, I was going to suggest you call Dr Lehman, and tell him you are > in dire straits, that your GI he recommended hasn't been able to > return your calls for some reason, and you are severely nauseated > and this procedure is not working. > > He might ask you to come back to see him, or be able to chase this > doctor up or recommend a new doctor.
