Guest guest
Hi All My name is Pam , I'm 56 and had my gallbladder taken out 25 years ago. I have been suffering the last 3 years with RUQ pain. My last attack showed my amylase elevated. My doctor ordered a CT Scan and found a normal pancreas but a severely enlarged spleen. Would this be caused by the constant attacks I have. Pancreatitis has not been documented as yet. My most severe attack happened 3 years ago. I went to the ER, vomiting violently and doubled over in pain. They took an xray and said it was probably a 24 hour bug and sent me home. No blood work, nothing for pain and on the way I told my husband that the back pain was so bad to stop and throw me out in front of next Mack truck. I can't seam to eat any fat. I keep my daily count down to 20 grams a day. Mornings are my best before I eat......there usually isn't any pain but by night it sets in big time. It feels as though a 2x2 is struck through my right side. I am so confused. Why would this cause problems with my spleen. I just started to read last night and I did see a connection between the two. If anyone knows something I'm looking for all the knowledge I can get before my appointment Tuesday with a hematolgist........ Warm thoughts.....Pam ga
