Guest guest
I can just imagine how hard that would be if there were small children having to cope with their mommy always being in the hospital. You sound like you have a very caring dr. Your so lucky in that area. Our dr. is new ( family dr. that is)and I feel he really does care .He says he feels so bad for her.But he can't help her really except give her something for pain. And thats so frustrating. We asked him to find us another pancreas dr. and he said he would like for us to keep the one we have in Dallas. But we don't even feel comfortable anymore with him. We just don't think that he believes us anymore when I tell him that she can't function in life like this he says " yes she can " . She just lays there like a zombie and we cant even make a conversation at all with her. We are going to start taking down her trazadone to a fourth of a pill and see if she can wake up long enough eat or drink . One dr . says she needs to take it to sleep and another dr. says she way over medicated ..which I do believe but if she sleeps than she dont have pain. And thats what the other dr. says.I believe if she got off of some of the medications that she is on she would feel better. But when we do she cries she is hurting and she can't sleep .So I don't know. well thanks for listening. I hope your pancreatitis stays away for a long long time and your surgery is successful.Spend as much time with that little one for they don't stay that way long. Kristy has a little brother that is 10 and she treats him like he is hers. And she has a sister that is 18 who fusses with her all the time but she loves her . Her brother loves her very much and I know this is taking a toll on him too. He is very quiet and he doesn't say much about it but I know he feels so bad for her.But we try to keep things as normal as we can . I feel like he and his sister gets the short end of the stick somtimes because we spend so much time in Hospitals and drs.But I really think they understand because they have never seen her this sick before. Even when she got her pacemaker she wasn't this sick That was a breeze compared to this.Well , Once again I hope everything goes well with you and your family. Take care. deedee
