Guest guest
I used cranial tech charlotte but it was a few years ago. We know others who have too and we have all been happy with them. Some ppl on here have also used hanger in charlotte. We were not happy with out local hanger (columbia, sc) so chose cranial technologies. Guest guest
Hi,My daughter was treated at Cranial Tech - Charlotte last summer. She had moderate to severe plagiocephaly and mild brachy. Our biggest concern was facial asymmetry. Her forehead bulged on one side making one eye appear larger than the other. Also, one ear was lower and farther back than the other ear. She started her DOC Band at 5 1/2 months and wore it for 8 weeks. It completely corrected the facial asymmetry and her ears. We were so pleased! Our pediatrician was also very pleased with the results. I live in Cary and drove 3 hours one way to each weekly visit with 3 kids along for the ride. There were treatment centers within 20 minutes of my home but we chose CT because we believed that they could best give us the results that we desired. We were not disappointed. I also choose CT because I thought their band was smaller and more open than our other options. The Charlotte CT office staff was very polite and I never had to wait at a visit which was really nice. They answered all my question and gave me measurements at my first appointment and every appointment after that they told me how many mm she had grown or corrected. Our insurance did not cover CT but they do have a payment plan and a reduced price for BCBS policy holders. I hope this helps. Good Luck! From: lbalclark <lbalclark@...>Plagiocephaly Sent: Thu, February 24, 2011 1:57:51 PMSubject: cranial technologies- charlotte Hi everyone! I am brand new to the group and wanted to see if anyone has been to the CT in Charlotte. I am taking my son to be assessed there tomorrow. We noticed some flattening about 6 weeks ago then noticed some asymmetry as well. We are doing some PT for mild tort which has improved greatly in just 2 weeks. I took Mason to the Hanger clinic in our hometown and just wasn't sure how many helmets the orthotist does. His measurements only showed 5 mm asymmetry with a 92.9 cephalic index. So, more brachy than plagio. I am eager to see what Cranial Technologies measurements show. I look forward to hearing thoughts and opinions on DOC band vs. Hanger. Thanks!!
