Guest guest
Hi everybody! I got a question about stool. Since i started this diet (been only three week) I have seen results in my sons stool but he only goes once a day and sometimes everyother day. Should I be concern? Guest guest
Going only once per day is fine. Every other day is certainly not desirable, but you need to be a detective to figure out why he is sometimes only eliminating every other day. I have figured out that my son needs a larger amount of liquids than most children his age, or he will either have pebbly stools or not go at all. He is 40lbs., will be four years old in mid May, and needs about 30oz. of fluids every day to keep regular. Meleah question bm Hi everybody! I got a question about stool. Guest guest
Many kids get constipated when they first start SCD, especially if they are eating a lot of meat, eggs and cheese.... and not enough veggies and fruits. We'd need more information about how solid/hard his stools are.... and about what he's currently eating, and how it's prepared. Patti question bm Hi everybody! I got a question about stool. Guest guest
, From what you wrote, I take it your child has no problems with cow dairy. I assume you're making his SCD yogurt from cow's milk? If his stool usually tends to be loose-ish.... but he is going every day or every other day, then it doesn't seem like he is really constipated. I think it's just pretty early on, and if you're seeing a fairly formed BM every once in a while, I think this will improve. He will ideally start having one per day, nicely formed. You wrote: <<and homemade applegrape juice (the apple and grape cooked only apple peeled, >> I am not *quite* sure I'm reading your post correctly.... but you're saying you're cooking the grapes? Or are you juicing them with a juicer at home? If he's eating grapes cooked, are you peeling them also? It's a little hard for me to tell how much meat, eggs and cheese he's eating, compared with the amount of vegetables. Do you think it's pretty balanced, amount-wise? Guest guest
The grape is not peeled but i cook it in the microwave and make juice out it. > <<and homemade applegrape > juice (the apple and grape cooked only apple peeled, >> > > I am not *quite* sure I'm reading your post correctly.... but you're saying you're cooking the grapes? Guest guest
If you are juicing the grapes with a centrifugal type juicer, you don't have to cook them first. You DO need to be diluting all of your juices by 50%. Patti Re: question bm The grape is not peeled but i cook it in the microwave and make juice out it.
