Guest guest
Hi Deb A.It was my understanding when my son got his wish that maw had sponsors and while we didnt have to advertise anything for their support we were made aware of them as the sponsor and ha to cooperate whith any publicity that the co would use in an effort to either hel;p raise the money or allow them to be recognized for thei contributions. We didnt have to do either, although we were willing.Different co.'s gave different support.Meaning the gift certificate we got for lil extras we may need came from toys r us, and the trip was sponsored by a totally diff co., etc. What a dream come true Give Kids the World was....they handled evry single detail such as providing his vest during our stay, $600 spending money, free munchies and drinks and gifts everymorning in our condo, they even paid to have a co come out and make us a key to the rental they got us because hubby accidentally lost it on a ride at disney....which was a nightmare might i add.Every angle was covered and no waiting in any lines for G.K.T.W kidsat any parks, even free stroller rental for my other 2...honest to goodness they couldnt have done any more, we were so happy. Those are times im so happy we have to look back on. Sorry for babbling, just wanted to express how wonderful MAW and G.K.T.W. is!!!!!!!No better way to go! Patty, mom to Tyler 8, wcf and adhd(in case we have a lul in hard times wcf, lol) and 2 wocf and more than likely adhd...(judging by their activity level) > We went out to eat tonight and the restaurant we ate at one each tables they > had a paper that read they were taking donations for Make a Wish foundation. > If you donated two dollars you would be put in a drawing to win some prizes. Guest guest
i have to agree, GKTW is wonderful as well as MAW. My daughter Kaylee went to Disney and we didn't have to get any sponsors either. Maybe that place wanted to " adopt " his wish, and that is how they got the money.
