Guest guest
<<Hello Everyone!! To all the post-ops out there---what juices have you found that seem to work well with your new system?? Do you need to dilute certain juices? Your insight will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!! >> , I think this is an individual thing...tastes run different. Your tastes may even change after you've had the MGB. Pre-op, I had never liked V8...now it's my favorite (room temp, not chilled). I like the fruit juices diluted though...only because they taste too sweet if I don't. I never thought I would say the words " too sweet " as I had a whole mouth of sweet teeth before surgery! Guest guest
: I have to dilute all juices. Every one. I can't even drink Crystal Light anymore without diluting it and it used to be a staple. Basically, I almost always opt for water and I never drank water before surgery. It seems to be another one of those individual things...some of us can drink anything..some of us can't. LOL. Trial and error! Guest guest
, I find that apple juice needs to be diluted. Orange is just way too strong. Pineapple is delicious but a little bit will do. Got a little urpy on grape jucie but I may have been drinking too fast. Tomato and V-8 settle just fine. Guest guest
, The juices don't necessarily have to be sugar free but if they taste better to you that way it would be our choice. I do know, ask Lassiter, that they have cancelled surgeries for colds. I don't know how bad of a cold it has to be for a cancellation but Dr. R does want you in good shape going into the surgery.
