Guest guest
Hi Everyone: Just wanted to let you know when they do a Sed rate that the most precise way to do it is to have the results STAT. The test result is most accurate if done within a couple of hours from draw, not at the end of the day. Also when interpreting results they have ranges it falls in. To be the most precise, for men it is their age divided by 2 For women it is their age plus 10 then divided by 2 to determine normal. for example: I'm 39 my Sed rate normal level would be: 39 + 10 divided by 2 = 24.5 or below Not too many doctors bother to do it as acurate. They just use the readings from the lab. Can find article for anyone if doctors dispute it being correct. Hope this help someone, Cath
