Guest guest
Hello My son has been on an amino acid therapy for 1 month. It was helping him a lot. There are no starches, sugars, wheat, dairy/milk, soy, yeast, artificial colors or flavors, gluten, corn. The amino acids are supposed to help the production of certain chemicals in the brain. I just now reread the ingredients after being on SCD. Rice flour is in the capsules. He has been taking about 7 capsules a day. Could this have been sabotaging his progress? I will not give him these starting today. I am running out of things to feed him. Thanks Hinojosa 3yr old boy, ASD, Began SCD Feb 14, 2007

My naturopath gave me some kind of Ultra Clear Candida Cleanse and it was full of rice flbased powder.. Carol F. SCD 7 years, celiac
Guest guest
Did you notice a difference while on the Candida Cleanse and when you stopped taking it? Assuming you stopped taking it....Also, could you please look at my post " full blown diarrhea " and tell me what you think? Thank you Hinojosa 3yr old boy, ASD, Began SCD Feb 14, 2007 [Norton AntiSpam] Re: Amino Acid therapy > > Hello > My son has been on an amino acid therapy for 1 month. " She praised SCD but said it was difficult. I had just started and did not realize rice was not allowed nor that the formula was rice based. Rice was on the rotation diet my allergist had just given me and I was piling it in. The success of the cleanse treatment ( there was also a liver cleanse) was determined by a questionarre checking symptoms before and after and by hair tests etc. I later found that the whole procedure costing abiot $1000 was the standard bag of tricks in every naturopath's repetoire. It must be part of their education. I was also eating Rice Krispiy squares at the time When and only when I got strictly on SCD did I find relief from experienced pain upon putting any food in my mouth. At the end of the second week on SCD, I was doing fine with eggs, legal dairy and a host of other wholesome foods and I have not visited a naturopath since then, seven years ago. Carol F. Guest guest
As a matter of info, our son takes amino acids which are custom blended according to SCD rules. We use Hopewell Compounding Pharmacy out of NJ. Good Luck, Mom to Jack, 5.5 yrs, ASD, 7 mos SCD > > > > Did you notice a difference while on the Candida Cleanse and when you stopped taking > it? Guest guest
Yes, this definitely could be.... and probably IS.... impeding his progress. I'll bet you'll see a big turn-around now if you take them out. Patti Amino Acid therapy Hello My son has been on an amino acid therapy for 1 month.
