Goof News!!

I have made an incredible recovery. Though my lung function is low

28%, I feel so much better. I did the 6 minute walk test and did

really well today. I am as strong as I was before I got sick. I don't

remember the last time that I felt this strong, since I had this

infection for a long time.

I am still working towards the transplant, nothing has changed there.

But in between now and then I can lead a much more comfortable life. I

was scared that I was going to plummet after this battle here. the

doctors are very pleased and shocked at how well i am doing. I am

responding to the antibiotics and the steroids really well. It looks

like 10-14 days still here, but after all that I have been through I am

okay with that.

Today was a really good day.

thank you all for being there when it was the hardest. I am sure that

I will be back here someday, since I now the nature of CF and the

realities of a 28% lung function, but one step at a time. Right now I

have been given a periodic glimpse of health. I so badly needed that.

But it will be easier to be here next time knowing that online I have a

family to support me and care for me, even though they have only known

me a few months.

I think you are all wonderful!!!! Thanks for the prayers, they worked.

I am so glad you are feeling much better. We should thank you also because

you have given us an insight to this disease that some of us have never had.

It also helps us to be more patient some times and to be aware of how our

children may be feeling. Thanks for all your emails. Keep up the recovery

and we will be emailing from home soon.

Best wishes for a speedy time passing and many many hugs for you.
