Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Shaelin had an follow-up appointment in the CF clinic S/P being diagnosed with RSV last week. His viral culture showed RSV but his bacterial culture only showed rare staph and normal flora, no pseudomonas, yeah! He is still coughing but much better. No longer coughing at night or vomiting mucus. He is to remain on Bactrim for 1 more week and TOBI until his cough goes away and assuming it does not return, back to normal. I am so glad he is better. I was really frightened when he would waken from a sound sleep coughing and choking on his secretions and I don't scare easily. On another note, Shaelin will be 3 next week. As many of you know, he is a foster child who my husband and I have had since he was 7 months old and finally, we are getting closer to being able to adopt him. Hopefully we will be able to adopt him within the next 3-4 months. It has been a long road but he is worth it, cf and all. Guest guest
Congradulations!!! It is always nice to hear when a fellow foster parent gets the final reward of being able to adopt a child they have come to really care for. Dawn mom of 4, 8 and under, the youngest wcf, and the oldest three a sibling group that we fostered and then adopted. =====
