Guest guest
I read an old post that someone's child has a band that was not fitted properly. How do I know if my son's band is not fitting properly?
Guest guest
My daughter's band didn't fit correctly the first time around and they kept saying we just need to shave a little here and there and this went on for several appointments within a two week period. I just knew it wasn't fitting her right, so I finally went up there with a new attitude- I AM GETTING A NEW BAND! I did in deed get a new band made for free of course, although I think this is pretty rare. The only thing I would be worried about is the red on the front. My daughter had a band for brachy and her forehead got the red mark when she grew out of it towards the end, which is exactly what they said would happen. So I would be concerned about that. The other problems seem normal. > > > > I'm worried about the current band. The point in the front is not centered. Its to the left a little. Also, when I take the band off, there's a big red mark the entire size of the front of the helmet across his forehead. It takes a while to go away. Its almost like a rash and this will be the third day in a row. It's not pushing his ears too much but his left eye is pushed on a little bit. Its only been since this past Tuesday that he got the helmet so I'm just a nervous wreck. > > Thanks for replying. > > > > > > From: > > Sent: Saturday, April 17, 2010 2:39 PM > > Plagiocephaly > > Subject: Re: How do I know if the helmet fits properly? > > > > > > > > > > It should not cause sores or red spots that don't go away within an hour of having the band off. Also, if it is pushing the ears too much or is down too far over the eyes, that is another clue. Occasionally, a band is also much too loose. > > > > > > > > Are you worried about a current band or just worrying about when you get yours? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > How do I know if the helmet fits properly? > > > > > > I read an old post that someone's child has a band that was not fitted properly.
