Guest guest
Okay, now I understand " cheeky " . Isn't it funny how kids everywhere are pretty much the same. Eilish sounds like she will go far in life. She sounds like she is humorous, smart, independent and self confident. That means SO much. She must have GREAT parents. Guest guest
Hi: Phyllis (my wife of almost 48 years) and I watched a very old Hepburn movie last night, " Strong " (1933.I was two at the time, and of course remember it well). The term " cheeky " was used and brought to mind the discussion here. We lived in Britain and have traveled extensively throughout the country since 1967, and the word is often used in the context as explained by Deb. I do remember as a child my aunt pinching my cheeks and saying " Cheeky little lad, isn't he! " Ugh! Guest guest
Gale, I don't know if its next week or the week after but I will complain to you all LOL! I think its the organising of the 'other' part of the life is the hardest part. Its Liam that I worry about. I know EIlish is sick but she has never been left for a minute at the hsp. I don't trust her not to run up the hallways catching everybody else germs. Last time she loved it as she was the only CF child in and it was pretty empty. So she roller blade all day long up and down the hallway. So we will try to get onto the home IV's but they only let 6 families on at a time and it is full at present. Luckily I have the best boss in the world, although I think even he can't believe that were in again. Re: Back into hsp. , I am sorry to hear that Eilish needs more IV meds. I am sure that this is harder on you, than it is on her. I don't know how you manage so well. Please keep us posted. I would like to send Eilish a package. Could I send it to your home? If so, please send me your address. Thanks, Gale > Eilish's dr. rang me this morning and told me she has culture > non-mucoid, sensitive strain of PA. Guest guest
, I know what you mean. I have a friend that had a son with cancer. He was diagnosed at 2 and died when he was 5. He spent a lot of that time in the hospital. The hospital was almost three hours from thier home. Debbie always stayed at the hospital with Andy. Her husband was worthless and sat in the bars most of the time. Andy's little brother, ie, stayed with his grand parents. I remember ie telling his mom that he wished that he had cancer too, so that he could be with his mom. So sad!!! Liam has a great mom and a great dad. This helps a great deal.
