Guest guest
--You stated: " 's mother ended up jumping down Nikki's throat when she found out Nikki wasn't planning on having 's parents names on the wedding invitation. " OHMYGOSH--You're not going to believe this, but when we rec'd the invitation last week, my husband came running downstairs (where my youngest and I were watching TV) and said: " Suzy, aren't OUR names supposed to be on the invitations as well? " I said not necessarily. Yes, I put HIS parents' names on OUR invitations 28 yrs. ago, because I was told by his family to do so! He got all bent out of shape because our names were not on them and had to call up his son to give him an earful! Just what they need right now. I, like YOU, am always the one trying to keep peace in this family. My son was actually going to send out a revised invitation and I said " Don't you dare do that! " Of course, hubby called all his family and they all agreed with him! I guess he feels that since we're paying for the rehearsal dinner AND all of the flowers (which are quite exorbitant!!), that we should be on them as well. He's still not over it, but at least he's talking now! Played the " silent treatment " for a while! I, too, am looking VERY forward to the wedding, but will be very glad when it's all over with and they're settled in! They're going to the Sandals Resort for their honeymoon. Your dilemma sounds a lot like ours! I can only pray to the good Lord that peace stays in this family until everything is over with! Lord help us all! Darn it -- when I'm upset, I eat too much CRAP, and then don't feel well with the darned CP pain! I definitely need help! Had to work late today too, and just got home an hr. ago. I hate eating late! Have a good evening and weekend!
