Guest guest
, With every attack I had, I would vomit from the beginning of an attack until it ended. Usually I could never stop heaving, even when I had nothing else to bring up. One hospital I had to go to for a while was 55 minutes away, and I would sit in the car with a bucket and heave constantly all the way there. That used to be a good way, and high blood pressure also to get me in immediately rather than wait for hours on end. My worst attack was for 2 months straight, and I was on Zofran, Phenergen and Benedryl all rotating for the nausea. I vomited every day around the clock. I lost 60lbs in those 2 months. I believe it is for that reason also that my body now reacts to the phenergen & benedryl. having them on 4 hourly intervals..phenergen every 4 hours, and benedryl every 4 hours inbetween the phenergen, kept me tired and dopey, as well as the pain meds every 2-4 hours. It became a vicious cycle, because I think in the end I only needed the nausea medicine because the pain medicine was making me sick, but I needed the pain medicine for the pain. I hate those catch 22 situations. For me also, I would hold off as long as I could with vomiting, apart from it triggering off a continuous bout, it seemed to intensify my pain. As for what I sent you, I just thought it interesting that they believe magnesium can help to cure pancreatitis. I don't know if this is new, because magnesium was only discussed with me when they told me that my potassium & magnesium levels were down because of the attacks. Hope you are doing much better now,
