Guest guest
Heidi, I was researching more about these patches and found an excerpt from JCAHO Pain Management Guidelines that " some patients require Fentanyl Patches to be changed out at 48 hour intervals.... " I won't argue with them :-) I doubt I will get my doctor to prescribe me 45 patches. I already get 30 a month. But this is good information. I also begin to have withdrawals at ~ 10 to 12 hours without a patch. And, with all the sweating that I do, profusely all day long, even in the winter, that is the worst culprit for making them fall off. That is why I have to wear these ugly black compression socks year round. I read, too, about using them above the waist, but I cannot make them stay at all. If they are on my back I can't access them if they start burning. Enjoy the wedding!!
