You wrote, " It went fine, It hurts, but is tolerable. I watched " Oprah " ,

something I usually don't see. I tried not to cry, but let me tell you,

saltwater

on new stitches really hurts! "

I am glad that everything went well. I hope that is the end to that. I was

thinking about something after I had responded to your question about

'medications that are related to pancreatitis'. This wasn't on the list, and I

cannot

recall where I obtained this information, but general anesthesia can also

exacerbate pancreatitis. This has happened to me every time I have undergone

surgery

since I was diagnosed. I don't want to put it on the list until I can

validate this somewhere, though.

I also saw Oprah. I am glad that you did because salt water is actually good

for healing wounds. When I lived in St. , USVI, as Director of Nursing I

would have the nurses take their surgical patients to the ocean and have

their patients sit in the sand and let the salty ocean water wash their bodies.

They healed very quickly.

And, Re: Oprah, I know she has received several emails from me about the

plight of persons with pancreatitis, and even under the name of 'invisible

disease.' I have tried differerent topic ideas which could include our group.
