Guest guest
Thank you everyone for your feedback. Last Wednesday we had our appointment with the orthotist to check measurements and to tell her that this helmet was not fitting correctly. The long story short is that after I told her that it was changing his ear and that it had rotated from the very beginning and was just not right, she agreed. She did a new scan of his head and ordered a new helmet for us. A great side note is that even with the crappy helmet he still corrected 4mm in the last two week period. The new helmet came in yesterday and we got it fitted. There are now pads and it is not touching his ears. Thank you everyone for backing us up on our instincts. Only 12 more mm to go! Guest guest
That is wonderful. You know, I love hearing stories where the technicians are able to admit their mistakes. I don't think that we can expect perfection all of the time, but I take it as a sign of professionalism when the individual admits that a band doesn't fit well and then takes corrective action to fix it. Frustrated.... revisited Thank you everyone for your feedback.
