Hello Everyone!!

I have made it home and reunited with my children!! I am feeling wonderful

and here to testify that there is life after a complication and lenthy

hopsital stay!!

I was discharged from the hospital on Friday morning, arrived back in Miami

late Friday nite, and went swimming on Saturday! I am eating soft foods now,

I have had refried beans from Taco Bell, pasta, mac and cheese, mashed

potatoes, grits and oatmeal. I don't seem to have any problem with fat,

though I did not at all like the way I felt after a few sips of Natucket

Nectars Orange Mango juice this morning. Won't do that again. I am

struglling with the slow eating, it is so not like me. :) But trust me, I

will learn. Saturday, while outside in the very hot Miami sun, I had a

serious moment of disdain because I wanted to gulp down some cold water.

However, that passed after I remined myself of the benefits of my not being

able to do that. A small price to pay I think.

I want to thank everyone again for there love and prayers while I was down.

I especially want to thank Gwen, and Glo, and Bev who visited and checked on

me regularly. It was wonderful to meet all my littermates, (and I got some

extras since I was there longer)Jenn, and her wonderful Cat; Christy and her

Rob; , Donna, Carol, Thresia, Trudy and her husband; and my Judy.

(she's not just yours anymore, Trude!) I am forgeting some names-but not the

faces and smiles.

Take care everyone!

Peace and love, Ruqayya

Hi Rikaya:

Glad to hear you are home and feeling great! That is very encouraging after

the problems you had. I know what you mean about eating slow and small

bites. That was hard for me also, but I have adjusted. Also, the thirsty

thing. I mostly drink water (which never seems to quench my thirst when I am

really thirsty) and sometimes I feel like I need a soda bad(which does quench

my thirst). Oh well, we will survive. Just takes some getting used to.

Dear Ruqayyam

I'm so glad to hear you're back home. I know I missed my children like

crazy for the 9 days we were gone. Keep us posted. (I'm jealous that you

can swim this week - we have snow and ice.)
