Guest guest
Hi Betty. As usual, really glad to hear from you! Thought I'd share this little tidbit with you. I don't mind the Citrucel at all, so here's how I do it and maybe it'd work for you. I put about 1 tablespoon of water in a custard cup, cold and filtered good water, add my teaspoon of orange delight, and tip it up and drink it. I don't let it get thick. Maybe that'll work better for you. Since it is a life long committment, the easier the better. About your waist, I bet that's not so unusual. People seem to lose in different places at different times. Your waist is coming soon. You sound like you're really doing well, actually. Keep it up. We all suffered through your scare together, and I know we're all glad to hear you vent, just cause you feel good enough to do it! My best to you, PhillyJude
Guest guest
Hi Group, I am a 6 week post op. I had surgery on 9/29. At clinic that week I weighed 233 and had a 45 " waist. Today I weigh 205 and have a 45 " waist. My legs, arms, and neck all are much smaller, but not one damn inch in my waist. My husband says it is because I had a leak right after surgery and Dr. R. had to go back in and correct it. But that was 6 weeks ago. Shouldn't any swelling be gone by now? I am getting disgusted. My jeans look so weird. The legs are flapping, but the waist still fits as always. I can eat anything I want. I find that if I eat every 2-3 hours, I feel a lot better. I can now eat more at a time than I thought I should, but still not what most consider a full meal. I have not dumped or had nausea at all. But also I have not lost any weight for 8 days now. Guess I'm in the plateau stage now. We'll just wait it out. Would rather see an inch gone in my waist than a weight loss right now. I take a very light dose of zoloft. I feel so much better since starting that. My PCP also has me on Evista, (for post menopausal women) which is good for us with a great history of breast cancer. I work on my supplements, still taking Actigall and hating some of the stuff like Citrocel. but...... Gee I didn't mean to sound off so much. I am so proud to be a part of this group and even if I don't post often or answer many, I have each of you in my prayers every day and suffer with those of you who have lost loved ones recently. Love to all. Betty in Western NC
Guest guest
Dear Betty, Hello littermate !! So glad to hear you post. I think that if the trend goes as we've read from previous post-ops, you will wake up one morning and be off your plateau. Better keep a belt handy for those jeans.
